Terraloam helps organizations turn waste reduction into measurable savings through our Savings Hub. This Healthcare Hub is an offshoot focused entirely on hospitals the projects they're running, the public goals they've made, and the honest gap between the two.

Hospitals are some of the most material intensive operations in any community. A 300 bed hospital can generate over a million pounds of waste per year. Many systems have made bold commitments zero waste, carbon neutrality, single use plastic elimination. Far fewer make it easy to see how they're tracking against those promises.

We pull together publicly stated goals, surface in flight projects, and show progress in a single place. The aim is recognition for hospitals leading on this, and motivation for everyone else.

A note on our data. Goals and progress are sourced from publicly available sustainability reports, press releases, and recognized programs like Practice Greenhealth, Health Care Without Harm, The Joint Commission's Sustainable Healthcare Certification, and ASHE Energy to Care. Every goal links to its source. Where hospitals haven't published an exact progress percentage, we use a conservative reading of the most recent milestone reported.
